The Las Vegas Aces lost a close one 83-81 to the Golden State Valkyries on Oct. 9 in a WNBA semifinal, with the series continuing beyond this game. Guard Jackie Young drew attention for her efforts as she worked to help the Aces get back in the game, according to ESPN coverage.

A'ja Wilson broke a long-standing record during the game, surpassing Diana Taurasi's WNBA playoff scoring record and adding another storyline to the night. The Aces now face pressure to even the series after the close loss. Both teams head into the next game with plenty at stake.
