Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup and scored a goal during a narrow defeat to the Edmonton Oilers. The rookie forward, who had been sidelined, appeared in the game alongside fellow prospect Will Smith, who also featured in the NHL. Despite the loss, the Sharks saw a bright spot as Ivar Stenberg scored his first-ever professional goal in a separate game against the Boston Bruins.
